Politically Aware

A Level Politics students, as well as younger pupils, put plenty of probing questions to London Mayor candidate, Shaun Bailey, this week.

The Conservative Party candidate for the 2020 London mayoral election joined Sixth Formers for lunch, before meeting with pupils in a wider forum, sharing his views on why he is optimistic about the future of our city. Girls from across the school asked lots of incisive questions about his plans, covering carbon emissions, poverty and crime.  Bailey later tweeted: “I very much enjoyed the visit and getting challenged by the students’ questions! Thank you for having me.” 

Each term, we welcome dozens of expert speakers into school, giving pupils the opportunity to hear from and quiz an array of eminent guests with a myriad of different experiences and opinions, opening doors, hearts and minds.
