Renowned Writers – Madalyn Todd Aslan
Every month, as we celebrate the breadth of our alumnae community, we highlight former pupils who have become published authors.
Madalyn Todd Aslan (Class of 1982) is an American-British writer, astrologer, and palmist. As a child she moved between New York and London during which time she attended South Hampstead High School.
Legally emancipated from her mother at 16, Madalyn read Drama at the University of London, then moved from London to New York and put herself through Cornell University, receiving a fellowship from Columbia University and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.
She is the astrologer at Salon and at The New York Daily News and has published several books on astrology including What’s Your Sign?, Madalyn Aslan’s Jupiter Signs, and The Naked Mother.
Her horoscopes have been translated into seven languages, and she has published columns in Cosmopolitan, the New York Post, Daily Mail and others. She is included in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World and is the only psychic to have her readings auctioned at Christie’s.
