Year 11 Knockout

Year 11 students ended their GCSE years with a fun-filled week of enrichment activities.

Pupils spent two days working in small groups as part of our new Rebel Thinkers enterprise programme, developing wonderfully imaginative products and services aiming to revolutionise the way we live.

They also spent a day on Hampstead Heath, where they volunteered with the local charity, Heath Hands, to remove invasive plant species from some of the woodlands. They worked really hard to help clear large areas, learning about some of the history of the heath as well as the challenges of maintaining it for people to enjoy. Their penultimate day was spent in South Kensington for a fun but informative stroll around the Science Museum, reminiscing about previous visits when they were younger and getting hands-on with the exhibits.

Their final day of the year was spent at the Sports Ground, hurling themselves into and onto inflatable castles in the Knockout Challenge! Their competitive spirit was alive and well as they went all out to be the first team to pick up 10 rubber toys, run through a bouncy castle tunnel, and launch the toys into a plastic bucket – a fantastic finale to their ‘summer of joy’.  We wish them a wonderful and well-deserved holiday, and look forward to welcoming them back in September in the Sixth Form.
