Towards 150 Concert
As part of our Towards 150 concert series, The Leonore Piano Trio performed in Waterlow Hall.
The audience enjoyed an evening of Dvorak and Mendelssohn played by the internationally acclaimed trio. Cellist Gemma Rosefield is an alumna of South Hampstead who also played at the Waterlow Hall opening gala concert in 2020. She is a winner of the prestigious Pierre Fournier Award 2007 and made her concerto debut at the age of sixteen when she won first prize in the European Music for Youth Competition in Oslo.
The Towards 150 concert series invites acclaimed musicians to perform for our community as a thank you for everyone who has supported the school. South Hampstead’s Towards 150 masterplan sets out the school’s ambitions as we look towards our 150th anniversary in 2026; a key aim is to enable bright girls, regardless of their family’s financial means, to access an education at South Hampstead.
Previous performers at the Towards 150 concerts have included the award-winning violinist Mathilde Milwidsky and renowned pianist Joanna MacGregor CBE – both former bursary pupils at South Hampstead.
If you would like to learn more about our Towards 150 initiatives and our Opening Doors Bursary Campaign, we will be holding a series of reception events this year hosted by our Bursary Board members.
