Jazz Night

With Waterlow Hall transformed into speakeasy-style lounge, the audience enjoyed an incredible night of jazz.

Parents, pupils and staff gathered at candle-lit tables for a very classy evening of music over drinks and canapés. Over 50 talented musicians from various ensembles – including several of our Music Scholars – took to the stage, performing jazz classics by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Duke Ellington. Salsera, three of Mr Beecroft’s Jazz Bands, Big Band, Brass Band, Superbrass and Sax Band all delivered accomplished performances, which met with rapturous applause. The Music Department also bid farewell to one of our visiting brass music teachers, Mr Clewlow, who’s been teaching at South Hampstead for 21 years. Congratulations to everyone involved for another spectacular event.
