Alumnae Reunion Tea

More than 180 alumnae and former staff returned to South Hampstead for the Annual Reunion Tea.

We run an extensive programme of social and networking events for our former pupils throughout the year; our alumnae community are involved in many aspects of the day-to-day life of the school, providing invaluable advice, guidance and support to our current pupils.

At the Annual Reunion Tea, we welcomed former staff, alumnae and current pupils who have attended the school from 1953 through to the present day.  This year, we celebrated reunions for the Classes of 1964, 1974, 1984, 1994, 2004, 2014, and a special silver anniversary for the Class of 1998. The afternoon culminated in an uplifting rendition of the Hymn of Light, which has been sung at the school since the 1930s.

The South Hampstead community is far-reaching: guests came from all over the world and stretched across multiple generations. It was lovely to welcome mothers, daughters, grandparents and sisters. Their loyalty to the South Hampstead family shines brightly throughout our alumnae community. During the Head’s address,  Chloe Tartan (Class of 2007) joined online from Patagonia and spoke impactfully about the power of connection. Chloe invited each member of our community to become a Bursary Ambassador, urging all to help spread the word about the bursary places available at South Hampstead.

Our next reunion event will be the Summer Drinks and we look forward to welcoming our alumnae from the Classes of 2018 to 2023 to this event. Full details of our alumnae programme can be found via The Mehr Licht Community. To find out more about becoming a Bursary Ambassador, please get in touch: alumnae@shhs.gdst.net
