Maths Awards

58 Mathematicians have been awarded certificates for their impressive scores in the recent UK Maths Trust Senior Mathematical Challenge.

The national competition involves problem-solving that stretches students well beyond the curriculum. This year, our students received 32 Bronze, 15 Silver, and 11 Gold certificates, with all Gold winners qualifying for the next round in November. Although the challenge is aimed at A Level students, two Year 11 pupils, Ava and Jiamu, also took part; both were awarded Gold certificates, whilst Jiamu was amongst the 1000 highest-performing students in the country, qualifying for the British Mathematical Olympiad – an outstanding achievement.
