Graphic Novel Artist

A Sixth Former’s illustration has been selected as a winning entry in a graphic novel contest run by the University of Oxford’s Classics Department.

Irem in the Upper Sixth submitted a comic-strip illustration inspired the Greek myth of Artemis & Actaeon which she created on a iPad. The annual competition attracts hundreds of submissions each year, with the top entries in each age category printed in a hardback, graphic novel style book.  Irem is taking A Levels in Art, Classical Civilisation and History of Art and hopes to study Classics at university next year.
