Code Breakers
Year 8 pupils excelled in this year’s CyberFirst Girls cybersecurity competition.
The annual competition, run by GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre, aims to inspire girls interested in technology to pursue a career in cyber security. Participants use their logical thinking, code breaking and problem solving skills to solve a wide range of cyber-challenges. Well done to all our teams who demonstrated great team-working skills as they tackled advanced topics, stretching their lateral thinking and extended cyber knowledge. Certificates of distinction are awarded to the following individuals, and creatively named teams, for their outstanding commitment, effort and attainment throughout the competition:
- Individual Awards: Claudia, Elena, Emilie, Eva, Greta, Ipek, Mehak, and Venese
- Team Awards: Block Blast, Aki Aki, The Vegan Teachers, the Hexacutioners, and Loading…
The girls were supported by our new coder in residence, a newly appointed role funded thanks to the support of a generous donor.
