Bringing Books to Life

Year 7 pupils transformed their classrooms as part of our annual Living Book Competition this week.

Each form group carefully planned how to bring one of their favourite books to life, working together to create props and costumes and then acting out a scene. The judges were transported from the African jungle to a courtroom drama, from a murder scene on the Orient Express to Narnia, as well as visiting a home for peculiar children. Within their unrecognisable classrooms, the girls delivered imaginatively choreographed routines,  spectacular singing and wonderfully scripted performances.

Well done to all the girls for such ingenious displays of creativity, with particular congratulations to form 7S on their winning scene set within The Penultimate Peril’s Hotel Denouement, from Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, and a special mention to form 7G for their melodious re-enactment of The Lion King.
