Year 9 Go Ape!
To celebrate the end of their time in Year 9, pupils and tutors enjoyed a fun day out together at Go Ape, Alexandra Palace.
The girls, teachers and a rather enthusiastic Head of Year, Mr Alaru, and Headmistress, Mrs Bingham, embraced the challenges of zip wires, jumps and assault courses, despite getting drenched in the rain.
“It was such a fun experience and so nice to bond with everyone after exams. My favourite part was the 16-metre drop at the end – terrifying, but so much fun! It was so funny to see everyone struggling with the ropes but everyone achieved so much more than they expected to.” Amy
“Everyone had a go at the three level assault course, including two zip wires, a Tarzan jump and a plummet. The group-based activities were lots of fun and showed us the importance of resilience and teamwork. Despite being very scared of heights, I finally plucked up the courage to give it a go. I was very proud that I managed to complete the first level and one of the zip wires. It was lovely to see everyone encouraging each other and supporting those who were a bit apprehensive. Although the weather was terrible, everyone had loads of fun – a great end to Year 9.” Lydia
