Fees
Termly fees for 2024/25
- Junior School - £7,464.80 inc VAT*
- Senior School - £9,136.96 inc VAT*
Additional charges apply for school lunches, occasional trips and visits, optional extras and public examination fees. School lunches (£330.60 per term in the Junior School and £336.30 per term in the Senior School) are not subject to VAT.
*Following the government announcement that VAT at the rate of 20% is to be added to independent school fees from 1 January 2025, the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) has confirmed a commitment to limiting the overall financial impact of these tax changes on parents to 12% through a reduction in the net tuition fee. This is reflected in the spring/summer term fees above, which are inclusive of VAT.
Payment of fees
Fees may be paid annually or termly in advance, or by monthly instalments (four per term) by Direct Debit to the Girls’ Day School Trust. GDST also operates a prepaid fees scheme for a minimum term of two years. Details are available on request.
Entrance administration fee and registration deposit
A non-refundable fee of £210 inc VAT (£300 inc VAT for overseas applications) is charged for taking the entrance examination. A registration deposit is payable on the acceptance of a place and will be retained until the pupil leaves the school. The deposit will not be refunded if the place is not taken up.
Fees for music lessons
Fees for music lessons are £350 per cycle of ten 35-minute lessons. Visiting music teachers are self-employed; contracts for music tuition are made between parents and the teacher concerned. The school has no involvement with the contract and parents are billed directly by their daughter’s visiting music teacher(s). Fees should be settled before the start of each term and one term’s written notice should be given directly to the teacher when a girl wishes to discontinue music lessons, otherwise fees for one cycle of ten lessons will be payable in lieu.
