Scholarships & bursaries

Each year, we award a number of scholarships and bursaries for 11+ and 16+ entry. Bursaries take into account the family’s income and financial resources and may be worth up to 100% of the school fees plus extras. Scholarships are based on exceptional merit in a number of fields – Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sport (Art and Drama at 16+ only).

We are firm believers that every girl who is bright and keen should be given the opportunity to fulfil her potential, regardless of financial circumstances. Thanks to the support of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) bursary scheme, we are able to offer a number of means-tested bursaries each year to those that reach the required academic standards in the entrance examination. Watch the video below about one of our many talented bursary holders.

If your family’s annual income is less than £49,500, you may be offered a full bursary. If your family’s assessable income and resources are below £107,500, you may be eligible for some support. For more information about the bursary scheme, please visit the GDST website.

Academic Scholarships are awarded on outstanding performance in the entrance examination at 11+ or 16+; all applicants are automatically considered for the Academic Scholarship and no separate application is needed. 11+ (Year 7) Music and Sport Scholarships and Sixth Form Art, Drama, Music and Sports Scholarships are prestigious awards that require a separate application. Girls must show a particular aptitude and talent in the relevant discipline and will be assessed by the appropriate department – scholarships will only be awarded to those who meet the required academic standards. To find out more about the standards required within each discipline, fee remission (where applicable) and what you need to submit, please read the relevant documents below.
