A Level Results

Our Class of 2024 collected an outstanding set of A Level results today, securing places at top destinations in the UK and abroad.

37% of all grades were A*s this year, 75% of grades were A*/As, and over 94% A*/A/B. 60% of students were awarded three or more A*/A grades, while over 21% achieved three or more A* grades.  Over 80% of our students are going to their first choice of university to study a diverse range of subjects, from Architecture to Zoology. Students received offers from numerous world-leading destinations in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia this year, including one with a full scholarship place to NYU; around a fifth of the cohort received offers to Oxbridge, and many others have secured places at some of the UK’s highest ranked universities for their chosen subjects.

Several students have excelled in both STEM subjects and the Arts & Humanities. One of our talented violinists, who recently performed as a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, achieved four A*s to secure her place to study Chemistry at Imperial, where she has also been awarded a double scholarship entitling her to free tuition at the Royal College of Music.

Others have overcome tremendous obstacles to achieve their success. In 2022, we welcomed eight refugee students from Ukraine; three girls joined our Sixth Form, all on fully-funded bursary places, and embarked on an ambitious programme of A Level study in a new country and a new language, whilst still continuing their Ukrainian subjects too. Today, they picked up their impressive results ready to embark on their next steps in the UK to study Zoology in Glasgow, Psychology at Royal Holloway, and Drama & Theatre Studies.

Head Mrs Paul praised all the students on their hard work and well-earned success. “I congratulate our girls on their excellent results. They reflect the dedication, intellectual curiosity and drive that has shone through in their approach to their studies. We are exceptionally proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them continue to soar, whatever their future endeavours.”
