Arkwright Engineering Scholar

A budding aeronautical engineer has been awarded a prestigious scholarship, sponsored by the Royal Air Force.

Talia, who is studying Chemistry, Computer Science, Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A Level, follows in the footsteps of more than half a dozen South Hampstead pupils who have been awarded Arkwright Scholarships over the past few years. The awards progamme aims to inspire and nurture future leaders in Engineering, Computing and Technical Design. A rigorous selection process identifies high-calibre students who are then supported through their Sixth Form years with hands-on experience, mentoring and career planning. Scholars are matched with sponsors who align with their interests. Talia commented: “I am extremely grateful to receive a scholarship sponsored by the RAF. I have always been passionate about STEM subjects, particularly Engineering, and I can’t wait to explore the opportunities provided by this scholarship.”
