Bedlam High

Our Sixth Form Drama Scholars’ short film premiered in Waterlow Hall this week.

Upper Sixth students – Allegra, Amy, Martha and Molly – had the opportunity to work with film production company, Lucid Dream Pictures – an invaluable experience to get in front of and behind the camera, culminating in an after-school premiere in Waterlow Hall.

The Drama Scholars shared their ideas, collaborating with Lucid Dream Pictures to finalise the script, before shooting at school for a week in the spring term. The resulting short film, Bedlam High, was screened in Waterlow Hall this week: an exciting, emotional film, described as a hybrid of The Breakfast Club and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. 

A supporting cast of four Year 11 students featured in flashback sequences, with special guest appearances from Mr Barnett and Ms Martin.  The short film is now available to watch on YouTube. Discussions are already underway for the students’ third short film project as part of the Sixth Form Drama Scholars’ programme.
