Biology Olympiad

Our A Level Biologists have excelled in a challenging competition, expanding their knowledge of cutting edge and topical biology.

Each year, around 15,000 Biologists take part in the British Biology Olympiad which tests students’ biological intuition, logic and imagination. Entrants are presented with unfamiliar topics and ideas, extending their thinking beyond the A Level curriculum. This year, a dozen of our Sixth Formers have been awarded commendations, bronze, silver or gold awards. Congratulations to all who took part,  with a special mention to our trio of gold award winners – Juliette in the Lower Sixth and Maddy and Mariella in the Upper Sixth – who are among the top 5% of scorers nationally.
