Co-curricular Clubs
Each term, we run a busy schedule of over 200 clubs and activities across the Junior and Senior Schools.
Our co-curricular programme, named after our school motto, Mehr Licht, (‘more light’), enables our pupils to try out new activities, meet other pupils and explore different interests. In the Junior School, our youngest pupils have plenty of scope to thrive beyond the classroom, with clubs including chess, comic-making, pottery and computing.
In the Senior School, the term began with a bustling co-curricular fair, showcasing a diverse array of options: international relations, mythology, ukulele orchestra, early morning yoga and many more… Pupils of all ages are encouraged to engage with a range of clubs and to reflect on the skills and attributes they learn along the way. Many societies are led by the students themselves, with staff supporting them to plan and deliver enriching sessions. So far this term, aspiring aeronautics experts have been designing ornithopters in a new, student-led Mechanical Engineering Club; entomologists are getting to know our resident leaf insects at Bug Club; and dozens of bespoke messages have been written for local care home residents at Card Writing Society.
