Creativity Award
South Hampstead has been shortlisted for the 2021 Tes Independent Schools Creativity Award.
The award recognises the whole school approach to speaking up and speaking out, which ensures that purposeful discussion is at the heart of school life as well as in the community beyond.
Mrs Bingham commented: “From their very earliest years, our pupils learn to be confident and creative, to feel empowered to challenge the status quo. Throughout the pandemic, they have made sure their voices continue to be heard. Whether they are asking incisive questions in every day lessons or presenting ideas at a Global Science Show, producing student magazines or presenting the school radio show, championing a cause or collaborating with partner school pupils at our Debate Hub, South Hampstead girls are encouraged to express their views with great confidence and conviction. It is wonderful that this has been recognised by Tes.”
Tes editor Jon Severs said: “We received an unparalleled number of entries this year… The schools that have been shortlisted should be proud – it’s a remarkable achievement.”
