DNA Production

Actors in Year 9 to 11 staged a thought-provoking production of Dennis Kelly’s jet-black comedy.

Waterlow Hall was transformed into an intimate park scene, with actors performing in an ‘in the round’ configuration, for a dramatic evening of twists and turns. In DNA, the award-winning playwright Dennis Kelly calls into question society’s response to peer pressure and pack mentality; it was written specifically for young performers as part of the National Theatre’s Connections Scheme. Our GCSE Drama students are currently studying the play for their exam.

Congratulations to everyone involved for staging such an exciting production – it was wonderful to be able to perform to a live audience again. Director of Drama, Ms Martin, commented: “It’s been a joy working with the cast and crew, witnessing their enthusiasm, openness and impressive work ethic.”
