Enterprise Diploma
Lower Sixth students are embarking on an Enterprise Diploma developed by the GDST in partnership with the London School of Economics.
This year, 14 students have signed up for the Girls’ Day School Trust Leadership & Enterprise Advanced Diploma (LEAD) – an innovative enterprise programme, designed in partnership with LSE Generate, to empower and create future leaders to think in innovative ways to shape a better tomorrow.
The launch event took place at LSE last week, with 220 Sixth Formers from 20 GDST schools gathering for a day of inspiring talks, workshops and ideation. Our students met their LSE alumnae mentors, made the most of networking opportunities, and heard from entrepreneur, author and STEM ambassador Jo Wimble-Groves.
Over the course of the academic year, two teams of our students will look to build new sustainable businesses. Their ventures will have the best interests of the community at heart, aiming to help progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Last year, one of our teams picked up an award for their biophilic idea, selling mini-gardens in upcycled glassware to raise funds for a local mental health charity – read more here.
