Festive Gift Drives
Each year, the whole school community supports numerous charities – both local and international – in the run up to the holidays.
In the Junior School, families have been supporting Doorstep Homeless Families Project for a number of years; once again, pupils and parents have donated generous gifts to disadvantaged children living in challenging conditions just moments from Finchley Road. The Junior School is also continuing to support The Venkat Trust, who provide educational opportunities for children in Kovalam, India; this term, pupils donated to the charity on their festive jumper day.
In the Senior School, parents and pupils have once again donated hundreds of gifts for Barnardo’s to distribute to vulnerable families with young children in the Brent area. Pupils in Year 8 and 9 also took part in a chocolate ‘wrapathon’, packaging gifts and writing cards for local charity, Norwood, who support people with learning disabilities.
Our thanks go to our Sixth Form Charity Captains and everyone in the school community for giving back, showing kindness and helping to make a difference.
