Future-proofing Girls
Our Director of STEM has been selected as a key member of a global action group tasked with researching how to build girls’ problem-solving capacity, confidence and skills.
Ms Russo will join the Global Action Research Collaborative on Girls’ Education’s 2021-2022 cohort, established by the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools. The group will research the topic Building Problem-Solving Capacity, Confidence, and Skills in Girls, presenting their findings at the Global Forum on Girls’ Education in Boston in 2022. Ms Russo teaches Physics at the Senior School and is one of several Science specialists who teach girls at South Hampstead Junior School too.
The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools (NCGS) works with hundreds of all-girls schools around the world, providing networking, research, professional development, and advocacy programmes focused on girls’ learning and healthy development.
The NCGS commented: “Our new cohort brings tremendous talent and experience to the project, and we look forward to the exciting global collaboration that lies ahead.”
