Junior School Sports Day
The annual Junior School Sports Day last week was the culmination of another fantastic year of PE at the Junior School.
Head of Junior School PE & Sport, Miss Maddick, commented: “The girls have made so much progress over the course of the year; it’s been a pleasure watching them flourish. Sports Day really encapsulates our ethos of inclusive excellence. Girls across the school have a lot of fun – but they also put in some really impressive performances.”
This year, no fewer than seven new school records were set. Congratulations to Lucinda in Year 3 in the 50m; Mila in Year 3 in the Javelin; Sierra and Isabel in Year 4 in the Long Jump; Issy in Year 5 in the 600m; Alice in Year 5 in the Javelin; and Ines in Year 6 for new records in both the Shot Put and 600m. Their combined efforts, along with their House mates, resulted in Pavlova lifting the cup this year. Congratulations to all, whatever their sporting triumphs, and thank you to our Year 9 helpers who did a great job helping to organise the events and encourage the younger girls.
