MAD Festival

Pupils staged a magical festival of Music, Acting & Dance (MAD), one of our Summer of Joy highlights.

After a crazy term of rehearsals in year group bubbles and online, the aptly named MAD festival lit up Waterlow Hall in the penultimate week of the academic year.  Nearly 70 students from Year 8 to the Sixth Form embraced the challenge, whether performing or as part of the technical crew, to put on an array of musical and theatrical classics, from Little Women to Disney’s Brave, with a rousing grand finale of ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman.  The socially-distanced audience, as well as those watching online, were treated to moving monologues, slick choreography and incredible musical performances. Congratulations to all our pupils for their amazing show of determination and talent – a wonderful celebration to end the year.
