Maths Medallists

Our A Level Mathematicians have excelled in competitive national challenges this term.

Over 50 Sixth Form students were awarded medals in the UK Maths Trust Senior Maths Challenge, with Jenny and Aadya in the Lower Sixth,  and Lillian, Cat and Roshan in the Upper Sixth clinching Gold medals. Their impressive scores of over 91% have secured them a spot in the even trickier follow-on ‘kangaroo’ round. A special congratulations to Jenny as best in school.

Three of our A Level Further Maths students in the Upper Sixth entered a relatively new challenge, the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls, which encourages young women to demonstrate a deep understanding of Mathematics by tackling five challenging problems in 2.5 hours.  All three students achieved were awarded distinctions – an astonishing achievement! Well done Lillian, Sophie and Lucy.
