Neo Penguin
The school magazine editors have launched the first online, eco-issue of The Penguin in lockdown.
The neo-themed summer issue features a rigorous debate on positive discrimination, an incisive interview with the English Department, a review of London’s sustainable hotspots and familiar favourites, such as ‘Overheard at SHHS’.
Articles on street art, neopaganism, the Oxford comma and the best things to put in a waffle iron feature alongside highlights from the Head Girl Team and reviews of the past decade covering politics, sport, books, music and film.
Stunning imagery comes courtesy of a Year 7 photography competition, pre-lockdown travel pictures, and behind the scenes shots from Emilia, the trailblazing play staged last term.
Congratulations to the editors – Sonja, Liana, Sydney, Megan and Penelope – and all the contributors from across the school for producing a great read for the holidays.
