New Chair of Governors
Alumna Amanda Dewinter (class of 1982) has been appointed as the school’s new Chair of Governors.
We are delighted to welcome Amanda to this role. She will take over from Roger Freeman, who took on the position on a temporary basis, following the death of Helen Strange in early 2020.
Amanda has been on the School Governing board for two years and also sits on the South Hampstead Bursary Board. Having enjoyed an extensive career in Marketing, she is now an Executive Coach and has served as Vice Chair of the Harris Academy St John’s Wood, as well as currently serving as Chair of Governors at Harris Academy, Tottenham. She has recently published her first book, The Success Code. Amanda brings experience, passion and South Hampstead spirit to her new role and the Senior Leadership Team look forward to working closely with her.
We are grateful for Roger’s work as Chair during the past 18 months, particularly for his sage support and advice during what has been an extremely challenging time. We are delighted that Roger will continue to serve as a Governor on the board.
