Oxbridge Commendations

Congratulations to Sixth Former Lucia, commended on her essay writing by both Oxford and Cambridge colleges.

The annual Robson History Prize from Trinity College, Cambridge aims to encourage high-calibre Sixth Form students considering applying to university to read History or a related discipline. Lucia’s highly commended essay outlined the impact of the 1832 Reform Act on the role of popular opinion in British politics.  She was also commended in the Julia Wood Prize, from St Hugh’s College, Oxford, for her essay on the career and reputation of Viscount Castlereagh.

Lucia, an Upper Sixth Academic Scholar, is studying A Level Mathematics and AS Further Mathematics, French, History and Economics and plans to study History & Economics at university.
