PE Highlights

Our athletes have had a great start to the spring term across a range of sports.

Our footballers have had an exciting half term, with more pupils joining training sessions to develop their skills, resulting in some fantastic fixtures; a special mention to our Year 7 and 8 squads who are going from strength to strength, and to our U16 team on their latest win versus Haverstock School.

In cross-country, our teams all ran well at the London Cross Country Championships at Wormwood Scrubs – a special mention to Bethany in Year 7 and Izzy in Year 8 who both finished in the top 10 of their races, with Izzy potentially being selected to represent London for the English Schools’ races as a result.

In netball, the U12A and U13A teams have continued their fantastic run in the Sisters in Sport plate competition; after convincing wins against Queenswood, Habs and Epsom College, they are both through to the semi-finals after half term!

Our gymnasts have also had a great start to the year, securing podium places at the U14 Novice and Advanced Floor and Vault competition. Congratulations to Aliyah and Stella in Year 9, who placed first and third with their floor routines, and our novice performers who took part in their first competition – well done to Talia in Year 7, who came third in floor, and Lara in Year 7, who came third in vault and first in floor.

Finally, well done to our Senior Swimming team who had a great day at the GDST Swimming Gala in Guildford, with some brilliant individual and team performances; congratulations to Ariella in Year 10, Ellie in Year 8, and Marina in Year 7, who made the finals of their races against strong competition.
