Podium Placed Gymnasts

Our gymnasts have had a great half term, with some strong individual and team performances.

At the Highgate Gymnastics Competition, our U13 intermediate squads performed individual and pair-acro routines with great confidence and flair.  The girls in the novice category showed excellent control, with Ingrid placing 1st, Lara 2nd and Scarlett 3rd. Acro floor routines are a new element for our squads this year and the girls performed some dynamic, well-choreographed routines: in 1st place were Hana and Sofia, 2nd place Alicia and Emma, and 3rd place Eliza and Anisia. Overall South Hampstead came 3rd – a fantastic competition with great results.

Meanwhile the U13 and U16 Gymnastics Squads took part at the British Schools Milano Gymnastics Competition – a new competition for the girls. They competed as a team on the vault and performed an individual floor routine and an acro routine together. It was great to see such a high level of gymnastics; the girls performed superbly and are inspired to get back to training after the holidays and improve their routines further.
