Pride Week
Students organised a colourful Pride Week – our annual celebration to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and champion equality and acceptance.
Students from our Pride societies played uplifting music in the atrium, gave a whole school assembly, and organised Pride-themed workshops for the community to make badges to reflect and respect different, individual identities. Sixth Formers had a talk from Rebecca Root, a trans actor and activist, who has starred in shows including Queen’s Gambit and Sex Education. Other activities during the week included film screenings, a History of Art talk on Art through the AIDS crisis, and a rainbow-themed non-uniform day, with rainbow laces sold to fundraise for the Mosaic Trust, who support, educate and inspire London’s LGBTQ+ young people.
