Psychology Cup
A trio of A Level students have won this year’s GDST Psychology Cup, with their research project on sustainability.
Over the past term, Lower Sixth Psychology students have been conducting independently designed research projects on the psychology of sustainability. Natalia, Jessie and Georgie were selected to represent South Hampstead at the Girls’ Day School Trust Psychology Cup. 30 students from 8 GDST schools across England and Wales gave 10 minute presentations on their research at GDST Head Office this week; the South Hampstead team showcased their research, discussing how personalised facts about climate change are more effective than inspirational stories at encouraging sustainable behaviours. The judges commended their use of complex statistics and consideration of implications across the GDST. Congratulations Jessie, Natalia and Georgie!
