Royal Visit
Some of our pupils and staff met His Majesty the King during a special celebratory event at the JW3 community centre.
Ahead of Chanukah, on the last day of term, pupils and staff attended a special event at our nearby Jewish community centre on Finchley Road. Our Senior School volunteers were there to wrap gifts to give to families supported by the JW3 foodbank, a partnership that began during the pandemic. The centre currently provides over 2,200 meals for local residents in need.
The King aided the effort by dropping off his own food donations during the visit; he was also shown round the kitchen, where our pupils and parents have helped to prepare meals for local, disadvantaged residents over the past few years. His Majesty joined an energetic reception being hosted for 25 Holocaust survivors, even joining them and their carers in a dance. After the event, he shook hands with and spoke to some of our Year 4 pupils, who were ice-skating at the venue – a truly memorable end of term.
