Virtual Sports Day
Hallways, kitchens and gardens across London were transformed into mini athletics stadiums as we hosted our first virtual, socially-distant Sports Day.
Year 7 pupils returned to school for a day of pastoral sessions at the sports ground, so were able to join the Sports Day fun from a more familiar vantage point. All other Senior School pupils logged in from home and signed up for a range of events focused on speed, endurance and skill. In a change to the usual line up, the girls competed in sit ups, burpees, plank holds and target throws, cheered on by classmates and teachers sporting their House colours.
The winning House, Bodington, was announced at Thursday’s final online assembly. Well done to everyone who took part with such great enthusiasm. Bodington’s win, however, was not enough to pick up the overall House prize – congratulations to Walker, this year’s recipient of the Edbrooke Cup.
