Winning Netball

Our Junior netball players have had a great start to the season, emerging victorious at their first tournament of the year.

On Wednesday, the Year 5 squad visited Berkhamsted School to participate in their annual Under 10 Netball Tournament. The girls played seven matches in a round robin format, facing strong competition from schools all over London, including Notting Hill & Ealing, North London Collegiate, Northbridge House and Orley Farm. In a closely fought tournament, South Hampstead were crowned the winners, taking home medals and a trophy. 

The following day, Year 6 teams competed against St Mary’s School in their opening games of the season, displaying great netball skills in all areas of the court. The girls shot with great precision and defended well in the circle. The ball moved up and down with great control and South Hampstead were awarded four decisive wins. Well done girls! We look forward to more matches later in the season.
