Year 8 Residential Trip
After the pandemic-induced trip hiatus, Year 8 enjoyed their long-overdue PGL adventure this month.
With the usual Year 7 bonding trip postponed due to Covid last year, the girls finally had the opportunity to get together for a three-day, outdoor pursuits trip to PGL Liddington near Swindon. Action-packed days included abseiling, archery, raft-building, zip-wiring and other team-building activities.
Head of Year 8, Ms Humphreys, was impressed by the girls’ enthusiasm and resilience. “This was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to try out new activities and develop their independence away from home; since returning to school, it’s been a hot topic of conversation between girls and their tutors.”
One pupil added: “My favourite activity was the giant swing – it was such fun, but better still was watching Miss Shakespeare and hearing her scream!”
